World Finals East 15U & 16U: Athletes Excel on Day 1
By: Lisa Gallo |

JUPITER, FL - With an impressive 46 teams playing at Roger Dean Complex, the World Finals East 15U and 16U tournaments launched off with success this morning. Eighteen teams in the 15U league and 28 in 16U performed on all eight fields. As always, the Prospect Wire scouts recognized the top five athletes.

RHP Rylan Thomas, 2016 grad, Chet Lemon’s Juice: Starting off the tourney with a complete game shutout, Ryan (Winter Garden, Fla.) was described to have “explosive stuff.” He has pitch command on the mound.

RHP Austin Bergner, 2016 grad, Chet Lemon’s Juice:  Bergner, of Winter Garden, Fla., impressed today at the plate and on the mound. He swung the bat well and picked up a win in relief, showing a fastball that topped out at 88 mph.

RHP/INF Colten Rendon, 2016 grad, Team Reebok 15U: Playing in his hometown during the World Finals East, Rendon swung the bat well. He got the barrel on everything and stood out by hitting multiple triples.

SS/RHP Luke Suchon, 2014 grad, Jacksonville Warriors 15U: Noticed for his strengths in three aspects of the game, Suchon recorded multiple hits, revealing his power at the plate. He played well at short, with a good relief outing as well.

C/OF Joshua Moser, 2014 grad, CBC Riverhawks 15U: Moser, of Fleming Island, Fla., had multiple hits showing a power bat. He has a strong arm from behind the plate, and received the ball well.

Constantly working hard and taking notes on their iPads, the PW scouts recognize every player. Subscribe to prospectwire.com to stay on top of the scouting updates on the new PW Scouting app!

Congratulations to the standouts of the day one.
