First Class FacilitiesProspect Wire events are only played at the best venues in the country such as MLB venues, college venues and in certain situations, premier high school fields.

Premiere CompetitionSome of the top programs in the country compete in our events annually - and that list of programs grows each year. Be prepared: Once you step between the lines at a PW event, showcasing ends, and fierce competition begins.

Reasonable Entry FeeGet a major event on your schedule for a reasonable entry fee. Schedule our events and watch your expenses decrease and quality of exposure increase.

College and Pro ExposureTalent draws scouts - not tournament hosts. If you attend, they will be there to see YOU. Prospect Wire creates first class events that make it easier then ever for the scouts to identify and connect with the talent. The end result is a higher quality of exposure which creates more scholarships.

PW Player CombineThese days, college coaches and scouts really need a GPS device when arriving at an event. Tracking every player at a major tournament is physically impossible. As a result, quality players are overlooked. One of these players might be your son. Unlike any tournament in the country, PW organizes a pre-tournament workout for every participating player. These workouts (which include 60 yard dash and recruiting questionnaire) gather critical data on every player's tools, so that no player falls between the cracks.

Live iPad ScoutingYep. There's an app for that. Prospect Wire has developed our own iPad Scouting App designed by our scouts - for our scouts. It was designed not only to provide scouting information in real time, but to make it light years easier for college coaches to gather instant information on players they are recruiting. You can see every 60, at bat or pitch tracked - broken down by velocity, spin, movement, command, arm action, etc. Waiting hours, days or weeks to see your scouting report? That's so last year. College recruiting is time-sensitive and nobody turns around full reports and notes on noteworthy players faster than Prospect Wire. Real scouting...in real-time.

Honest Scouting ReportsA wise man once said that athletes love to practice their strengths, but never their weaknesses. It would help if you knew what your weaknesses are though. Our scouts give honest evaluations with tact and professionalism no matter how good or bad. Even #1 draft picks have weaknesses on their scouting reports. A perfect scouting report doesn’t exist. If you want the truth, step up to the plate, and get honest feedback so you can improve your game.

Radar Guns on All PitchersThere are only a few things in scouting the game of baseball that are indisputable measurables. Radar gun readings are one of them. So we make sure anytime you enter our events, everything about you that is indisputable is documented. P.S. - If you hit 126mph on the radar gun like the picture shows, we'll rank you as the #1 prospect. Ever. No questions asked.

Scout FriendlyNo gate admission for colleges and scouts. No charge for scout packets and contact information. 60 times and defensive grades provided. Knowledgable staff on hand to answer questions. It's just our way of saying, "Thanks. We can't do it without you." Pictured left: A couple of scouts are laughing tears of joy for not having to empty their pockets to come support our events. OK, we made that up.

All Baseballs ProvidedThe '80s called. They want you to bring your own baseballs to their next tournament. But seriously - they called.
PW only provides the best caliber baseballs for every game, every pitch. Speaking of which, did you know Spalding was the official baseball for Major League Baseball for over 100 years? Or how about the fact that they are America's first baseball company? Let's just say these guys know what they're doing when it comes to making baseballs.

Collegiate Umpiring CrewWe don't cut any corners. While summer ball umpiring is far from perfect, our events always have collegiate crews working all games to minimize mistakes and increase professionalism.

Q: What is the Florida State Finals? A: Going into its 5th year, the Prospect Wire Florida State Finals is the largest state championship of its kind in summer baseball. The state of Florida is one of the major hotbeds in the world for amateur baseball talent and Prospect Wire is proud to have served as the official state championship for Florida's high school travel baseball programs.
Q: Why is the PW Player Combine important for a 14U team? A: The PW Player Combine is very similar to what these players may go through in a workout, tryout or showcase as they get older. Gaining the experience of going through this combine is invaluable for these players so that they can excel as the stage gets bigger over the years. The combine also gives them immediate feedback as to how good their raw talent (or tools) really are compared to their peers from all over their region.
Q: What is the PW Player Combine? A: Prospect Wire Tournaments are unique because they give attention to detail to every player at the event. Each player will be able to run the 60 and perform in an infield/outfield workout setting to display raw tools in those areas. This ensures that none of the players abilities in these areas falls between the cracks.
Q: Once the PW Combine is completed, what happens to those scouting notes on the players? A: College coaches and scouts in attendance of the event will be given a print out of all 60 times and defensive grades to help them identify standout players during the workouts, or refer to the chart if they see a player that they like. Colleges and scouts not in attendance have access to these results via a Silver Pass or Gold Pass membership on Prospectwire.com. Parents and players have access to all of the results via a Silver Pass or Gold Pass membership on Prospectwire.com.
Q: Do you need us to mail you copies of the player's birth certificates? A: Teams should carry birth certificates with them in the event of a protest. Prospect Wire's age cutoff for all events is May 1st OR if the player graduates in his appropriate grad year. Colleges recruit players based off of graduation year, not age. In this regard a player can be 20 years old, but graduate in 2013 and still be eligible to participate in a 2013 event.
Q: Can I bring a pop-up tent, umbrella or shade into the event? A: Yes.
Q: Can I bring a cooler into the baseball complex? A: Due to restrictions placed on us by the facility operators, no coolers are allowed in the baseball complex. (It's not our call.) You can, however, bring one team cooler that must remain in the dugout.
