FSF Scheduling Notes
By: Brian Werner | brian@prospectwire.com

SARASOTA - *PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL & PRINT IT OUT FOR YOUR REFERENCE!*

A few notes:

   - Teams will play 3 POOL PLAY GAMES over the course of Saturday June 9th   - Monday June 11th.   - Playoff Round & Consolation Games (which will be your 4th game) will   begin Tuesday June 12th (weather pending)   - The tournament is scheduled to run June 9-13.  We also have facilities   reserved for June 14th, in the event of rain.  Please schedule accordingly!   - As an additional benefit to attending this event, each team will go   through the NEWLY IMPROVED PW COMBINE, at a designated time.  The combine   is designed to give every player on your roster the attention and exposure   that they expect when they signed up to play for your program.  Please work   with us to have your players at the appropriate venue on time, so we can   produce biographical & scouting information that no other event will   produce.  That schedule will be emailed and posted on the PW Website,   within the next 24 hours!   - At this point forward, if a team decides to drop out of the event, we   will not be adjusting the schedule and teams will receive a forfeit   victory.

   - 18U:  There are 13 POOLS - 13 pool winners will advance, along with 3   Wild Cards, will advance into the SINGLE ELIMINATION ROUND.  Teams that do   not advance, will receive their 4th game via a CONSOLATION GAME on Tuesday,   June 12th.

   - 16U:  There are 12 POOLS - 12 pool winners will advance, along with 4   Wild Cards, will advance into the SINGLE ELIMINATION ROUND.  Teams that do   not advance, will receive their 4th game via a CONSOLATION GAME on Tuesday,   June 12th.

   - 14U:  There is 1 POOL in the 14U - teams will play Round Robin with   their 4th game being the Championship Game or Consolation Game.  Top 2   teams will play for the championship, bottom 2 for a consolation.

   - WILD CARDS are determined by the following tie-breakers:

   1. Overall Record after Pool Play   2. Head to Head   3. In the event of a 3 way tie, where each team has the same record and   all 3 teams have beaten each other in head to head, the next tie breaker is   RUNS ALLOWED   4. Runs Scored   5. Coin Flip

   - CONSOLATION GAMES - it is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT to note, Prospect Wire   takes consolation games seriously, and have strict rules now in place to   protect teams that want to play their consolation game.  Any team who   decides to leave and opt out of their consolation game, will have the   following sanctions & standing with PW Tournaments:

   1. All player scouting reports generated from this event, will be   removed from the website (including 60 times).   2. Teams will incur an additional $100 entry fee to any future Prospect   Wire Event.   3. Teams will loose any special scheduling request rights, from now   until Aug. 1, 2013

   - *On Tuesday, June 12th - you will notice that the schedule has teams   from different pools playing against each other.  These are CONSOLATION   GAMES (with the exception of the M4 vs M6 game at 9 am on Tuesday)  FOR   EXAMPLE - A3 vs B3 is NOT team #A3 playing vs. team #B3 - that is a place   holder for the 3rd seed from POOL A to play the 3rd seed from POOL B.*   - *AGAIN - TUESDAY, JUNE 12TH - ALL GAMES (EXCEPT BOBC FIELD 1 AT 9AM)   ARE PLAYOFF/CONSOLATION GAMES!!!  THE NUMBERS DESIGNATE THE SEED - NOT THE   TEAM!  THIS ONLY APPLIES TO TUESDAY JUNE 12TH GAMES! (This will make more   sense once we are able to publish the schedule on the website)   *
These rules will be strictly enforced, and they are put in place to protect teams that wish to play their consolation game, but their opponent has bailed out.  Please stay tuned for additional emails with further information regarding the event!  Thank you again for your patience and we look forward to seeing everyone next weekend in Sarasota!
