College Connection
Not everyone in high school is blessed with a 6'4" frame, a 90mph fastball, or light-tower homerun power. It takes a special player to have his voicemail and email boxes flooded with phone calls and letters from college coaches. If you are struggling to get on the radar with colleges, you aren't alone. In many cases, the player and the parent may be confused about how the recruiting process works and wonder why their son hasn't generated any interest. Many families have questions about how they go about introducing their son to colleges "the right way."

Prospectwire's "College Connection" Recruiting Service can help players in this type of situation. With the assistance of Prospectwire's Brian Werner and Matt Bomeisl players and families have two professional advisors that they can trust. Brian and Matt run the day-to-day operations of Prospectwire, including all tournaments and showcases, and have relationships with college coaches across the country. Matt's experience as the director of PW over the last 4 years has allowed him to personally assist over 100 players in their quest to find the right college fit.

While the service isn't for everybody, this service was designed to work hands on with the player and family to guide them down the appropriate path to connect with a college that suits the player's academics and skillset in the game of baseball. "College Connection" can help the player to:

  • Give honest and unbiased feedback on the player's talent level in the game of baseball - ensuring that you aren't wasting your time on unrealistic schools!
  • Assist in determining what level college is the right fit - making your search more efficient.
  • Develop a target list of schools based on athletic and academic preferences.
  • Narrow down the list of schools to determine the best situation for the player based on anticipated major, playing time, etc.
  • Guide and consult with the player on confusing topics such as the NCAA Clearinghouse, SAT/ACT Scores, AP Classes, NCAA Rules, Scholarships and Bright Futures, qualifiying athletically, application and enrollment process, summer baseball, introducing yourself to college coaches, and more.
  • Contact college coaches on behalf of the player and provide information about the player from a RELIABLE source.

It helps to have educated professionals in your corner that you can refer to, speak to, and consult with when your son faces major decisions about his future. Even more importantly, it helps to have a plan.

"College Connection" does NOT PROMISE OR GUARANTEE COLLEGE PLACEMENT!
